…ACCUMULATING SNOW IS LIKELY AT TIMES FROM LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT

THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING…

ALTHOUGH MUCH UNCERTAINTY STILL EXISTS ON THE TIMING, TRACK AND

STRENGTH OF THE APPROACHING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM, CONFIDENCE IS

INCREASING THAT MOST LOCATIONS IN NORTHEASTERN WYOMING AND WESTERN

SOUTH DAKOTA WILL SEE SOME SNOW ACCUMULATION BETWEEN LATE

WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND EARLY FRIDAY MORNING.

SOME LIGHT SNOW IS POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF NORTHEASTERN WYOMING

AND WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY THURSDAY

MORNING, THEN TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO BE WARM ENOUGH FOR

MAINLY RAIN TO FALL DURING THE DAY ON THURSDAY. THE MOST LIKELY

PERIOD FOR HEAVIER SNOWFALL WILL OCCUR ON THURSDAY NIGHT.

AT THIS TIME IT APPEARS THAT MOST AREAS ON THE PLAINS CAN EXPECT

2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW, WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS UP TO 6 INCHES

POSSIBLE. THE FAVORED UPSLOPE AREAS OF THE NORTHERN BLACK HILLS

MAY SEE AS MUCH AS 8 INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION.

WINDY CONDITIONS WILL OCCUR ON THURSDAY NIGHT, WHICH MAY CREATE

HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS DUE TO FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW.

PREPARE FOR WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS WITH SNOW, WIND AND COLD

TEMPERATURES, ESPECIALLY ON THURSDAY NIGHT.

SIGNIFICANT CHANGES TO THE FORECAST, ESPECIALLY THE SNOWFALL

AMOUNTS, ARE EXPECTED AS THIS SYSTEM DEVELOPS, SO STAY TUNED FOR

ADDITIONAL FORECAST UPDATES.
