Yankton, SD – U.S. Senate candidates Jay Williams and John Thune will square off Monday, October 24 in two televised debates.
At 12 noon, challenger Jay Williams will face incumbent Senator Thune at the Sioux Falls Rotary Club meeting at the Downtown Holiday Inn. This debate will be broadcast nationally by CSPAN later in the day. Then at 6:30 PM on KSFY television, Williams and Thune will meet for their final debate. The KSFY debate will be broadcast live by KSFY starting at 6:30 PM.
Williams and Thune had two previous televised debates, one on South Dakota Public Broadcast TV and a second on KELO TV. Both of these debates can be viewed by visiting the websites of SDPB and KELO and links to these debates are also available at Williams’ Facebook page.
Jay Williams is a former U.S. Navy Pilot and Yankton businessman who announced his candidacy to challenge Senator Thune for his U.S. Senate seat in this fall’s election.
