Custer, SD, September 19, 2016 – The September 2016 meeting of the Black Hills National Forest Advisory Board (NFAB) is scheduled for Wednesday, September 21 at the Forest Service Mystic Ranger District Office, 8221 South Highway 16, Rapid City, SD 57702. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. and end no later than 5 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
The Black Hills National Forest Advisory Board was established, consistent with the Federal Advisory Committee Act of 1972, to provide advice and recommendations to the Black Hills National Forest on a broad range of forest issues such as forest health, travel management, forest monitoring and evaluation, forest plan revisions or amendments, recreation fees, and site-specific projects having forest-wide implications.
Topics on the agenda for the meeting include: Rushmore Connector Trail update, Spearfish Canyon and Bismarck Lake Land Exchange proposal, Teckla-Osage 230 kV Transmission Line Project, Black Hills Resilient Landscapes Project update and Forest Timber Program update.
