The music fans that attended the free concert at Way Park in Custer Thursday evening were chilled out by the stylings of JimmyRay’s Wild Cats and then serenaded by the Sandstone Singer, a vocal group from Hot Springs. Described as contemporary vocalists, the group led by Director Carol Foster put on a performance that was energetic and professional with renditions of Cry Me a River, Walkin after Midnight, and Jambalaya in the mix. Performing with the group in Thursday nights concert were: First Sopranos: Kay Flock, Edie Hooper, Bev Keffeler, Cathy Nelson. Second Sopranos: Judy Cox, Meghan Logue, Julie Standen, Bonnie Wanzer. First Altos: Ebun Adelona, Lyn Bentson, Gwen Healey, Marilyn Rowley. Second Altos: Diane Emick and Deb Russell, Carol Foster.
Absent from the performance were first soprano Carol Grover and second alto Donna Behrens.
