Summer Music in Way Park

By Herb Ryan

Custer, SD – Story teller and guitarist Ray Hadlock and traditional country and bluegrass Singer Pegie Douglas perform at the Tuesday night opening of the Custer City Arts Council Summer Music Series in Way Park on Mt. Rushmore Rd. The good: great sounds by Ray Haddock in a southern country blues style, and Pegie Douglas from North Carolina, bringing a traditional country and bluegrass set with a foot tapping beat. The music alternates between Tuesday and Thursday evenings with various performers.
The Bad: Limited seating, bring your own. The musicians are blasted in the face by the late afternoon sun.

The concerts are paid for by the Custer Area Arts Council. There is a tip box for the musicians, feel free to tip or not.
