Cowboy Show, Supper and Foot Tapping at the Custer Senior Center

It was a packed house Friday evening for the Custer Senior Center Cowboy Supper and Show. Jill Kettle the center director said: ” We had printed 80 tickets and we only have a few left, this is really exciting for everyone and, the beef stew is delicious”. It was rumored that the cowboy stew was an old family recipe that Pattie Lee found in a saddlebag. Senior center volunteers served the multitudes and catered to their every need. The music was provided by award-winning western duo Allen and Jill Kirkman. In Colorado Springs, Allen and Jill were introduced to Chuckwagon Dinner Shows and soon after put together a band at their church. The band became so popular they were touring every weekend. Allen and Jill evolved as a duo and eventually started presenting Chuckwagon Cowboy Show’s with all the fixin’s.
